WHY DO THEY FEEL THE NEED TO LIE ???

Several years ago I read my KING JAMES VERSION of the HOLY BIBLE and poured over every passage, digested every book ,trying to arm myself against the perils of SIN...My goal of being on the right side in the battle of good and evil , caused me to read the TORAH and the HOLY KORAN...It made me want to follow in the footsteps of Jesus...It made me want to live a rightous, kosher, and spirit filled life...The trouble was,not that many people( those folks that profess Christ with their lips) wanted to see what's actually in their BIBLE and follow the word ...They seemed more bent on pretending they were being persecuted by all those EVIL people who don't want to go to "their church" and won't let them prostletise to a captive audience of gullable school childern... So you might see the seeds of a problem germinating here...I had my first "problem" with a pastor that was working a funeral...He took the oppertunity to go in to a HELLFIRE and DAMNATION sermon ( the dead guy was a total prick) and told everybody that the departed was on fire at this very moment and indeed would be forever and ever !!! ...Then on another occassion another preacher at a different funeral told everyone of miracle conversion just days ago , and this departed soul was "looking down from heaven"( even though she died on her way to have sex with more than one person at a time at her dope dealer's house)...Neither of those views of the "afterlife" is scriptually sound (read it for yourself)... My parents tried to school me , but I have always had questions that resulted in some version or other of " SHUT UP HIPPY" whether it was from my parents, my teachers, or any preacher I've ever met... I understand that if you don't know the answer ,it can make you feel uncomfortable ,but really??? I have always felt I was a voice crying in the wilderness, especially at church ,but dang, the hostility I engendered was truely surprizing... Many years later , this very morning in fact, I listened as a preacher told of how you can't mention JESUS anymore!!! I listened as he went on and on about how we can't do "this" or can't do " that" in the public "arena" anymore.... Well, it's certainly true that you aren't allowed have a "class prayer" or discuss your personal salvation with anyone that does want to hear it, and to have elected officials attempt to insert thier version of what "they feel compeled to proclaim" into the public record has been met with some resistance I'll admit ,but when one speaks of the "public arena", one must look at the INTERNET as the newest public arena on the planet... Please type in JESUS or GOD then look at the sheer number of results ....Then type in any other word in the English language and compare....Does anybody else see an inconsistancy??? How many PRAISE type radio stations have "popped up" within the past six or seven years??? How many different tee shirt shops sell religious type products in Sevier Co.??? How many CHRISTIAN motels can you count on your way to Fla. ??? I could go on for days (try me sometime)...The truth is , that the Christian message is getting to more people, more often, than any other time in history!!! So I have to ask , why do they feel the need to lie about things being so terrible for them when things are better than ever before for them??? I truely wish folks would read and understand the message , then live accordingly, instead of whinning about people like me that do not wish to participate in thier rituals and misconceptions of the meaning of life ....Give me a break does not mean try to break me!!! Remember, there is a differance between kneeling down and bending over!!!!!!!!!! The MESSAGE is great...Don't teach false doctines and you'll do just fine!!! I'll quit preaching now!!!
