Update me on Knoxville Politics

Something had me ''Scratching my head'' this morning as i was watching a local news/program of 2 Black gentlemen who are running for city mayor and rep' for the Democrat party. What had me(scratching my head) and asking myself? Where are the White/Democrat rep' of the city. Are there no Dem' on the city/county/council interested? Are there no local White/Dem' Entrepreneur/Business Owner interested? What is up with the Democrat party here in knoxville. Are is it the Recession?
