Krs1 says he stands w/truth. God is truth, and God is not the author of confusion. Krs1 appears very confused. He says he's on the side of King, Malcolm X, and the black panthers. That is contradictory because King's views were in total opposition to Malcolm X and the black panthers. So, WHICH SIDE IS krs1 ON ?.........................................His music is mysogenistic, and filled with violence and drugs. He has a "gotta get mine @ all cost in the hip hop community" attitude. Yet, he speaks out against President Obama, who has worked hard to reach the level he has. President Obama hasn't been in office 1 month, and already he's been written off as a total failure...........................Come on, people!!!!!!!!!..............................If Krs1 really wanted to help the black community , he would speak out against all the rap music that degrades the community. Krs1 has a "lets continue to beat each other up 'cause that's all us learnt from da masser" attitude............He is a prime example of how the black community can be its own worst enemy. With Krs1, the black community can say: "I have met the enemy and he is us".........................Krs1 says we should stand with truth and follow our purpose. WHAT IS krs1's PURPOSE??????????????? It appears to be to cause confusion and destruction in the black community. I DISAGREE w/99.99999% of what Krs1 says. If it were left to him, we'd still have J.J. from "Goodtimes" as our only male role model. Krs1 is talking loud and saying NOTHING!! div>

Kevin, it is u who is confused. I suggest you study the full works of Malcolm and King. They may have different methodologies but they had the same objectives. Have u read most of both men's speeches? I seriously doubt it.

What songs of Krs is misogynous? Maybe u have him confused with Lil Wayne. Besides he is taking about the US presidency not rap music. Another point is how do u know that KRS hasn't spoken against the filth in rap music? stay on point bro. You are all over the place. Address the reason why u disagree with his statement and stop labeling KRS -1 (as if u knew him and his music). State the reasons why he is wrong about Barack. State the facts, not opinions based on ignorance.

Man I thought I was right on point, maybe I need to break it down so that even you would understand.I have never seen or heard KRS speak out against the bad things in rap music, a music that he has made a living on for some time now.I say that to say how can he skip over the glorifying of guns, the down grading of our black women, the selling of drugs and I could go on. to putting down the first black President. For far to long we have been able to say to our young black males you can be anything you want to be, but now we have an example to point to and say yes, even the President of the U.S. That can be an inspiration to all black kids. When you talk to kids, they say I started selling drugs because its all I saw around me, now we can say don't look there look over here.Black people are quick to put down another Black person that succeeds, and I don't know why, Reggie. Is it to much hater aid? Maybe you can help me with that one.You said I don't know KRS but with comments like the one's on your video I don't want to know him. Last but not least you would have to know me personally to say that my opinions was based on ignorance. We can disagree with out personal attacks.

Kevin, I understand perfectly what u are saying. I believe it is u who is missing the point. 1st, do u own any of KRS-1's music (I have)? Have u ever heard him in a lecture (I have)? If not, what is the basis of your fruitless point about him not speaking out against the ills of Rap?

2nd, just because we have the 1st Black president doesn't mean shyt if the people are still suffering and his policies and his cabinet selection is all about empowering the few at the expense of the many. Have u read the stimulus package? R u aware of the fact that under his short watch, US military has executed three strikes in Pakistan killing hundreds of innocent women and children? Do u know his foreign policy agenda and his blind loyalty for Israel (modern day apartheid against the Palestinians)? R u aware of the fact that Barack is planning to attack Iran (putting us in another war we can't afford)? Every person who is Black don't have my Back. Whether the president is Black or White or Red, the American gov't is an oligarchy ran by the Federal Reserve. America is a prison-military-industrial complex and it will continue to be that. Now, if u can counter my points with facts bring it, but don't give me this weak argument about Black children aspiring to become president and other emotional fluff. BRING IT!! The majority of Black children in the US don't have decent housing nor a decent education. 2/3 of Black children in the US live in poverty so they are not dreaming about what they will become when they grow up, they are worrying about SURVIVAL.

Kevin, you can do better than this. Why is when one address critical issues or engage in critical thought about another person's policy or actions labeled a 'hater'? This is childish and u should know better (maybe u don't). Neither KRS 1 nor I are attacking Obama personally, we are addressing the position he holds and who controls that position. RIF (Reading is fundamental). Put your thinking cap on and leave your emotions at the door. When I say your points are based on ignorance is not a personal attack. Its just your comments are based on feelings and not on facts.

It seems to me you are doing alot of talking with out any facts.Just becase you say it, does not make it a fact, to say the Fed Reserve is runing the country, the poverty level for blacks,no facts to back up what you are saying. How do you know Obama's agenda when he has only been in office for a month. where was your critique of the 43 other Presidents before Obama or is all your statements based on past Presidents? If our youth are not preparing for the future and are only surviving then we need to work harder. I'm not blaming my position in life on other people totally. People have got to take some responsibility for their own future. On the local level and in the black community rap music is doing very little to lift up black people. It is doing more harm than help. What makes KRS1 an authority on local, national, and international policy? If he feels this strongly about his views and he knows what he's talking about, why doesn't he become more of a political player, where he can make a real difference if he thinks the country is going in the wrong direction? Otherwise, he is just blowing alot of hot air................................And for the record, King and Malcolm may have been working for the same cause (freedom and equality), but their methods of getting their were absolutely different. King believed in non violence and Malcolm believed "BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY". So, how does KRS1 stand with both them???????? ...............................................................................And it's not so much KRS1's music, but rap music in general. If KRS1 can't clean up around his own industry and help solve some of the problems it's creating, how in hell can he try to speak out on the political stage. All I'm saying is try to clean up around your own house before you go about trying to critique someone else's. ..........................................And talk about coming w/facts, here's a fact for ya: You say the federal reserve is running the country, but the chairman of the fed. res. is appointed by the president of the U.S. So, your facts make no since whatsoever!............Our country is built on checks and balances, and the federal reserve appointment is one of those balances.

Kevin, here's my resources to verify my claims: Who Rules America by G William Domhoff (website - http://sociology.ucsc.edu/whorulesamerica/index.html); Blueprint for Black Power by Amos Wilson; The Creature From Jekyll Island by G E Griffin; Video - Zeitgeist Addendum (Google Video); video - Hijacking humanity (Google it); 2000 US Census; Video - Money as Debt; and Powernomics by Claude Anderson. Let's see if u will verify my claims. Also, I urge u to bring some of your resources to the table.

Kevin, u assume that I have not been as hard as Bullsh, Clinton and others. U don't know. And this site has not been up that long. I will not respond to the rest of your comments because I've pretty much answered them already. Let's see if you are going to do due diligence and check out my resources. Also, bring something to the table before responding back. Leave ur emotion and feelings on the shelf, please before responding.

I will leave with three quotes to digest :

" Who has predominant power in the United States? The short answer, from 1776 to the present, is: Those who have the money have the power. George Washington was one of the biggest landowners of his day; presidents in the late 19th century were close to the railroad interests; for George W. Bush, it is oil and other natural resources, agribusiness, and finance. But to be more exact, those who own income-producing property -- corporations, real estate, and agribusinesses -- set the rules within which policy battles are waged." taken from the book - 'Who Rules America' by G William Domhoff

" The idea that the Afrikan America community can exercise effective power, political or otherwise, without simultaneously exercising economic power, is a fantasy. The election of Blacks to high office, even to the highest office, and their plenteous appointments to various courts, powerful regulatory agencies and the like, will do relatively little to enhance the power of Afrikan American community or release it from its subordinate relationship to the White American community." pg 246
- taken from the book "The Blueprint for Black Power from Amos Wilson

"A great deal of power in America is centered in large economic organizations - corporations, banks, utilities, investment firms, and government agencies charged with the responsibility of overseeing the economy...Control of economic resources provides a continuous and important base of power in any society. ECONOMIC (not political) organizations decide the basic question if who gets what. Deciding "who gets what" entails deciding what will be produced, how i will be produced, how much will be produced and how much it will cost, how many people will be employed......"

O.k., Reggie, there may be an ounce or two of truth to some of your points. For instances, he who has the gold USUALLY makes the rules. However, I've been in the military. I've lived in Europe and Asia, and you cannot convince me that our country is not the most free and diverse place on the planet. In no other country would Barak Obama be able to rise from poverty to leader of the free world. ................I refuse to go to the extreme side of your argument and agree with all your and KRS1's doom, gloom, and despair. ..........I have a book for you: "The Last Days of the Romanov's" by George Gustav Tellberg. It tells the TRUE story of what happens to those who have the gold when they oppress and suppress the masses to the extent you would have us believe they do. .........................Much like a Republican seems unable to see things from a Democratic point of view, niether you nor I seem able to see things from the other's perspective. .......AT LAST, we will have to agree to disagree. I see the glass half full and you see it half empty!!!!!!!

Again, I see that u are not willing to investigate before speaking
so I will let this discussion, go. I will check out your resources and once I've read it, I will respond (unlike somone I know). A Hard head makes a soft behind......

And please don't give me that half glass full crap when it is u who does not want to do due diligence. a critic of an system does not make one negative or 'half full'. Maybe its u who can't SEE.......

Just because your "brainwashing references" didn't produce the same results in me as it did in you and KRS1, that doesn't mean that I didn't read them. It only means that I can think for myself!!! Comments like ' a hard head makes a soft behind' is childish and don't require a response.

Look, I am not trying to 'brainwash' anyone just encourage critical thinking (which seems to be your weak point). Thanks for the dialogue anyway. Holla at when u can back up your 'feelings' with some resources as well as u at least look at some of the material that I presented to u.

Reg, man.....here's some critical thinking, facts, resources. Check out the article on page 2 of Sunday, March 1st Business section of the Knox. News Sentinel. There's an article by Dr. Harold Black, titled "Fed pours liquor into punch bowl". It's all about the checks and balance that this nation was built upon. This may help you better understand the peoples' power, how majority rules. We put people in office who work for us. We elect, they appoint in accordance with our (the peoples') wishes. It's how a democracy works. The punch bowl gets filled and the party goes on. It's not perfect, but it works. This will be my last reply to this discussion. It's on to bigger things....................
